have direct control over the completion of the goal. Why? Everything I've read about weight loss
suggests that your body is really a
being unto itself, and that you need to respect what it is doing. Thus, if
it decides to lose 15 pounds this month or next (or this year or next) is really
up to it. What I can control is how much I eat, how much I
exercise, the amount of water I drink, when I get to bed, etc. On
the other hand, if I've met the goal, I will by all means list when that goal
was met. My most recent addition is the Contract with Myself. Oprah
suggested that we do this. I'm thinking that it's a good idea, more for
the reminder than for anything else. I plan on putting these things up on
my bedroom mirror, inside cabinets, etc. I think it's a good idea. Take a look at the goals by clicking the links to the left. |
